Work-Life Balance is the Number One Reason Professionals Choose to Work with an Interim Staffing Company

According to a recent survey by Aquent Marketing Staffing of 1,500 marketing professionals, 73 percent of respondents said that flexibility in the workplace was essential and 71 percent said they would consider trading income for job flexibility. The temporary staffing professionals who participated in the survey also listed work-life balance as the number one reason they choose to work with an interim staffing company. While the source of this survey is - surprise - an interim staffing company, the results are consistent with those from other surveys (see here and here) that have also found that work life balance has become a pressing issue for executives and professionals.

We recently hosted an in-office employee workshop at Nixon Peabody focused on work life balance. The workshops help provide ideas and solutions for weeknight cooking that is specifically tailored to working professionals. It went great and we may even go back again this summer. The program is called Executive Chef (www.exec-chef.com).
