Success Story: Michael Karlan: Tax Lawyer Turned Party Planner

Party Michael Karlan is a former IRS tax lawyer who published articles with such titles as "Cash or Deferred Arrangements, Matching Contributions, and Employee Contributions." He now presides over Professionals in the City, a socializing and networking organization that he founded that now organizes over 1,000 party events a year that offer professionals in major cities such as Boston, New York, and Los Angeles an opportunity to unwind, have fun, and meet people who share their interests outside of the workplace.

Click here for a recent writeup in the Washington Post on Karlan's transition from lawyer to party planner extraordinaire.
